If you’re anything like me, you’ll take any opportunity to spice up your writing with interesting words. Think of it like a cabinet of curiosities, and you’re curating the most bizarre ideas and out-there word choices. Sometimes, you’re able to find these things naturally with a bit of thought, but other times, they can be incredibly elusive.
You can find some really interesting words just by reading around – the best places to look are older books with a richer collection you can borrow from, or the lesser-trod stories that contain a multitude of new phrases. All in all, just keep reading – pamphlets, signs, anything! This blog will give you some other / alternative / distinct words to use instead of their boring counterparts.

Take a notebook (or use the notes app on your phone) with you everywhere and make sure you jot down interesting turns of phrase or new words to Google later!
